HARDI sprayers have the field covered at Mystery Creek12 May 2018
With its choice of versatile, high-quality sprayers and booms the HARDI family of sprayers deserves a special look at this year’s Mystery Creek Fieldays (June 13 – 16).
The company will show off their 2,500 litre Ranger trailed sprayer alongside its smaller cousin, the 1,200 litre Grassland; plus a number of flexible linkage sprayers and boom options.
Hardi’s NZ North Island territory manager, Andy Elmslie, knows the choice of sprayer formats, tank sizes and boom features is essential for New Zealand operators. “No two applications are the same,” he points out. “Conditions change, field sizes vary and the operator can encounter obstacles while working.”
The choices mean any operator can get a Hardi sprayer to suit their needs, then adapt it to a wide range of applications – perfect for contractors and farmers looking for a single system that can handle their different seasonal requirements.
The Ranger 2500 is conceived as a medium scale crop sprayer with boom options from 12 to 21 m wide. The completely integrated unit balances a low centre of gravity with excellent crop clearance of 70 to 80 cm, while the adjustable track width (1.52 to 2.34 m) minimises impact on the crops.
It features Hardi’s HC5500 digital controller, which provides precise pressure maintenance and delivery rates, plus fingertip adjustment of delivery rates on the fly.
The smaller Grassland 1200 is designed for pastures and crop paddocks. Again, it has a completely integrated design with a low centre of gravity, 48cm crop clearance when fitted with 12.4 X 24 lug tires and a 1.8m track width.
Like the Ranger, it comes with a number of boom options including Hardi’s popular 12 m HYS boom with hydraulic operation and the ability to fold the sides together or individually – making it easy to work around a tree or structure in a paddock, for example. The booms can even be half-folded.
The choice of 6.0m, 8.0m, 10m and 12m boom widths with optional air bag suspension and boom inertia trapeze means that the Grassland can be configured for a huge range of applications.
Hardi will also have its popular NK linkage sprayer at Mystery Creek in 600, 800 and 1000 litre tank sizes. Used in pasture, horticulture, orchards and vineyards all over the world, NK sprayers can be fitted with 6, 8, 10 and 12 m booms options, as well as a range of vineyard booms and fans for orchard/vineyard applications – all of which are powder coated for lasting weather and chemical protection. Each is protected with an adjustable spring-loaded breakaway, easy height adjustment and optional trapeze suspension for improved boom stability.
